Most Ladakh trips focus only on the big checkpoints. This one is built differently for solo travellers who want the full experience, not just quick photo stops.

The journey begins in Leh, where you get time to slow down, acclimatise, and settle into the rhythm of the mountains before exploring local landmarks like Magnetic Hill, Hall of Fame, and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib.

From there, the route climbs higher through Khardung La, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, before opening into the cold desert landscapes of Nubra Valley. Think dunes, massive monasteries, winding mountain roads, and the chance to ride double-humped camels in Hunder.

The Ladakh Solo trip goes deeper into Ladakh with an excursion to Turtuk, a remote Balti village near the Indo-Pak border that feels culturally and visually different from the rest of the region. Quiet lanes, stone houses, apricot orchards, and views of the Shyok River make this stretch feel slower and more personal.

Then comes Pangong Lake, where the landscape turns dramatic again. Long empty roads, changing mountain colours, and the stillness of the lake create the kind of moments that make solo travel memorable.

This isn’t just a sightseeing trip through Ladakh. It’s a journey through high-altitude villages, remote landscapes, and experiences best felt at your own pace.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Leh. Leisure Day for Acclimatization.

Arrive at the Leh airport after a scenic flight over the Himalayas.

Meet our representative who will help you with your transfers to the hotel.

Complete the check-in formalities and rest for some time.

You can then spend the rest of the day at leisure.

We suggest you go for a short walk around your hotel, to acclimate yourself to the altitude better.

Enjoy a delicious meal at your hotel before going to bed.

Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 2

Leh Local Sightseeing- Visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Shanti Stupa, etc.

Wake up in your hotel room in Leh and enjoy a delicious breakfast.

After breakfast, get ready for a day of local sightseeing around Leh.

Start by exploring the Hall of Fame, a museum dedicated to the Indian soldiers who lost their lives in the wars and battles fought in Ladakh.

Next, witness the fascinating phenomenon at Magnetic Hill, where the natural landscape creates an optical illusion that makes vehicles appear to roll uphill.

Continue towards Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a sacred Sikh shrine believed to hold the imprints of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Later in the evening, spend some time exploring the vibrant Leh market, trying local food, shopping for souvenirs, or relaxing at one of the cosy cafés around town.

After a day of exploration, head back to the hotel.

Enjoy dinner and unwind for the night.

Day 3

Leh To Nubra Valley Via Khardung La. [Distance: 125km, Duration: 5-6 Hours]

Wake up in your hotel room in Leh and enjoy a delicious breakfast.

After breakfast, get ready for an exciting journey towards Nubra Valley via one of the highest motorable roads in the world.

The first stop for the day is the iconic Shanti Stupa, offering mesmerising views of Leh and the surrounding mountains.

Continue the drive towards Khardung La, located at an altitude of 5,359 metres and known for its dramatic landscapes and thrilling roads.

Further ahead, visit Diskit Monastery, the largest monastery in Nubra Valley and home to the massive 106-foot Maitreya Buddha statue overlooking the valley.

Crossing the Shyok River, arrive in the beautiful Nubra Valley, also known as Ldorma or the Valley of Flowers.

If time permits, you can also enjoy activities like a double-humped Bactrian camel ride or an ATV ride across the Hunder Dunes at your own expense.

Later, check in to your stay in Nubra Valley and enjoy a hearty dinner.

Day 4

Day excursion to Turtuk from Nubra Valley [Distance: 200km, Duration: 7-8 Hours]

Wake up to a beautiful sunrise & get ready for the day.

Today we will visit the charming village of Turtuk - Turtuk is a remote village that boasts of a unique identity inhabited by ethnic Muslims who have their own distinct traditions and culture.

You can then explore this beautiful village surrounded by snow-clad mountains on your own.

Here you can try out fruits like apricots and walnuts, for which this place is well known.

Next, you can take selfies and click pictures on the wooden bridge along the banks of the Shyok River.

Next, we will visit the Shyok War Memorial which is dedicated to the Indian Army who fought in the challenging weather of Ladakh.

As the day comes to an end, return to Nubra Valley, where you can indulge in a delicious dinner.

Day 5

Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso Via Shyok Valley [Distance: 160 Km, Duration: 5-6 Hours]

Wake up in the Nubra Valley and get ready for an adventurous journey to the famous Pangong Tso.

While driving, pass through the charming Agam and Shyok villages, which are known for their scenic beauty.

Continue the adventurous ride until greeted with the majestic views of the famous Pangong Lake, also known as the "Highest Saltwater Lake in the World”.

Pangong Lake is about 4 km wide on average and at least 136 km long, and is located at an altitude of 4300 meters above sea level.

Spend some time around the lake, where you can admire the reflection of the surrounding mountains in the stunning blue lake.

Later, head to the campsite near the lake for check-in and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 6

Pangong to Leh via Chang-La [Distance: 160km, Duration: 5-6 Hours]

Get ready to start the day by waking up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise from the camp.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast near the lake before making the journey back to Leh.

En route, stop at Chang-La, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, located at an altitude of 5,360 meters.

Further ahead, pass through the popular towns of Karu, Thikshey, and Shey before reaching Leh.

Arrive in Leh by evening and check into the hotel.

You can then spend the rest of the evening exploring the Leh local market at your own pace.

Here, you can indulge in shopping, go café hopping, and try local delicacies.

After a day of exploration, return to the hotel.

Enjoy a delicious dinner and rest for the night.

Day 7

Fly Back To Home. Depart with a lot of happy memories.

Wake up to the beautiful morning amidst the scenic views in Leh.

Have your breakfast at the hotel and pack your bags.

Your thrilling Ladakh trip concludes as you head to the Leh airport for your onward journey.

Come back home with adventurous memories which you will cherish for a lifetime.
