Meghalaya With Kaziranga Road Trip - Christmas and New Year Special Edition

Wake up early to the sounds of the forest and get ready for your jungle safari.

Head into Kaziranga’s wilderness as the day begins, where you might spot rhinos grazing, deer crossing your path, and birds all around.

Return to your stay after the safari and enjoy a relaxed breakfast.

Later, begin your journey to Shillong, taking around 5–6 hours, with winding roads and changing views along the way.

Reach Shillong by evening and check in to your hotel.

Spend the rest of the evening unwinding or stepping out for a short walk nearby.

Enjoy your breakfast, check out and begin your journey towards Laitlum Canyon.

Spend some time here taking in the vast canyon views, where the hills stretch endlessly into the horizon.

Later, continue your journey towards Shnongpdeng near Dawki.

On the way, stop at Krang Suri Falls, where water cascades down in multiple tiers into a clear pool below.

By evening, reach Shnongpdeng and check in to your riverside camps.

Spend time by the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River, known for its glass-like clear waters.

Enjoy a BBQ dinner around the campfire with your group under the stars (if weather permits).

Enjoy breakfast with views of the crystal-clear Umngot River.

Spend your morning trying out thrilling activities like boating, snorkeling, or cliff-jumping or simply relaxing by the water.

After lunch, begin your journey towards Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village.

Walk through this clean and well-kept village, explore its bamboo pathways, and take in the simple local life.

Later, board your transfer to Cherrapunjee, known for its lush landscapes and misty weather.

Reach by evening and check in to your hotel.

After breakfast, head towards Tyrna Village, the starting point of the Nongriat trek.

From here, we’ll begin the descent through stone pathways and dense forest trails.

After about 1.5-2 hours, reach the Single Root Bridge and take a short break by the stream.

Continue further for about an hour to reach the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, a unique structure formed over years by intertwining roots.

The entire trek includes around 3,300 steps one way, making it a physically demanding but rewarding experience.

Spend some time here, relax near the natural pools, and take in the surroundings.

Later, start your return trek to Tyrna Village.

We’ll reach back by late afternoon and head back to the hotel.

Wake up to a misty morning in Cherrapunjee and enjoy breakfast with views of the hills.

Check out and begin your day with a visit to Nohkalikai Falls, one of the tallest plunge waterfalls in India.

Walk to the viewpoint and watch the water drop into a deep blue pool far below.

Then, continue to Lyngksiar Falls, Beautiful cascade waterfall set amidst lush nature and offering a swimming pool for splashing.

Later, we’ll explore the Mawsmai Caves, walking through narrow passages, natural rock formations, and dimly lit sections.

After lunch, we’ll begin our journey to Shillong and check into the hotel.

You can spend your time at leisure exploring Police Bazaar, known for its local shops, street food, and lively vibe.

Enjoy your final breakfast in the hills and check out of the hotel.

Board your transfer towards Guwahati for your departure.

On the way, stop at Umiam Lake and take in one scenic view of the calm waters.

Continue to Guwahati Airport and board your flight back home, marking the end of your journey through the Northeast.
