Meghalaya Group Trip With Wari Chora, Caves & Waterfalls

Start early after breakfast and board your transfer to Wari Chora, one of Meghalaya’s most untouched natural wonders.

Upon arrival, begin a short jungle trek to reach the banks of the Rongdik River, the entry point to the hidden canyon.

We’ll then spend 3–4 hours exploring the canyon by boat, moving through 300-foot-deep limestone walls and crystal-clear waters.

The experience includes slow navigation through narrow rock formations and untouched river stretches inside the gorge.

After the exploration, we’ll begin the return trek through the forest trail.

Next, we’ll visit the Jadishil Fish Sanctuary, a locally protected river zone known for its natural biodiversity and hidden waterfall pockets inside the canyon.

Later, we will drive back to Baghmara by evening and relax after a long day of adventure.

After breakfast, check out of your stay and begin your return journey towards Guwahati as part of your Meghalaya group tour package.

The drive takes you through long scenic stretches of Meghalaya and Assam, passing forests, hills, small towns, and changing landscapes along the way.

We begin our journey to Shillong by driving through Assam’s plains and gradually moving into Meghalaya’s winding hill roads.

En route, stop at Umiam Lake viewpoint, one of the most scenic stops in Meghalaya.

Spend some time here enjoying the lake views and taking photographs.

Continue the drive and reach Shillong by evening.

Check into your hotel and take time to relax after the journey.

The rest of the evening is at leisure.

You can explore Police Bazaar, visit nearby cafés, or walk around the city with your group.

Wake up in the early hours and get ready for a memorable sunrise experience.

At around 2:00 AM, depart from Shillong for Nongjrong Viewpoint, one of Meghalaya's most stunning viewpoints, famous for its magical sunrise and sea of clouds.

Here, we will spend some time here soaking in the views, clicking photographs, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings before heading back to Shillong.

Once back, you’ll have breakfast at the hotel before checking out.

We’ll then begin our journey to Laitlum Canyons, one of Meghalaya’s most scenic viewpoints.

Known for its dramatic cliffs, deep gorges, and panoramic views of the Khasi Hills, Laitlum offers a peaceful escape away from the usual tourist spots.

Spend some time exploring the viewpoint and capturing the stunning landscapes before continuing further.

Later, we’ll drive towards Jowai through the scenic roads of the Jaintia Hills

Upon reaching Jowai, check into the stay and relax after an eventful day.

Start your day by 6 AM with an early breakfast, then gear up for an exciting adventure on your Meghalaya group tour package.

We’ll spend 2-3 hours exploring Krem Chympe, one of Meghalaya’s best-kept secrets, known for its massive cave system.

Here, we will see the turquoise river mouth, hidden passages and indulge in water activities.

After the cave exploration, board the vehicle for a 2-hour transfer to Shnongpdeng, a beautiful riverside village along the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River.

Check into your riverside camp/ homestay and spend the evening listening to the river flow, relaxing by the water, or sharing stories with your fellow travellers.

Enjoy a BBQ dinner around the campfire with your group under the stars (if weather permits).

Start your day with a delicious breakfast by the Umngot River.

You are free to enjoy exciting water activities like kayaking, cliff jumping, or snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters before checking out from your riverside stay.

We’ll then drive towards Dawki Viewpoint for a stunning bird’s-eye view of the India-Bangladesh border and the plains of Bangladesh.

Next, a scenic drive takes us to Mawlynnong, known as the cleanest village in Asia, where you can explore its bamboo-lined pathways and peaceful surroundings.

You can walk around the village, interact with the locals, and experience the simple lifestyle of this beautiful corner of Meghalaya.

Then, we’ll board the vehicle for a 4-5 hour drive towards Cherrapunjee (Sohra), passing through the green landscapes and winding hill roads of Meghalaya.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel by evening and enjoy a warm dinner with your group.

After an early breakfast, gear up for the iconic Nongriat Trek in Meghalaya.

We’ll head out by 6:00 AM to reach Tyrna Village, the starting point of our legendary trek into the valley.

Begin the 3,500-step descent into the Nongriat Jungle, crossing narrow steel suspension bridges that sway over turquoise river pools.

We’ll reach the ancient Double Decker Living Root Bridge, a marvel of Khasi bio-engineering, after about 1.5–2 hours.

Experience walking on the living root bridge and soak your feet in the cold, crystal-clear waters of the Umshiang River.

If the squad is feeling fit, we’ll push further to the majestic Rainbow Falls (1 hour away), where the mist creates a permanent rainbow in the sunlight.

After spending enough time around the bridges and waterfall, begin the climb back up to Tyrna Village.

Later, we’ll drive back to Cherrapunjee and head to the hotel for a much-deserved rest after the trek.

Wake up to a refreshing morning in Cherrapunjee and have your breakfast before starting the day on your Meghalaya group trip.

We’ll begin by visiting Wei Sawdong Falls, a hidden three-tier waterfall known for its striking blue waters and scenic forest surroundings.

Next, head to the Nohkalikai Falls viewpoint, one of the tallest plunge waterfalls in India, offering panoramic views of the lush green valleys.

Continue the journey with a visit to Mawsmai Caves, known for their limestone formations and narrow passages that make for a fun exploration experience.

After sightseeing, we’ll begin the drive towards Shillong, the charming “Scotland of the East” (approx. 2–3 hours).

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to relax after the journey.

In the evening, you can step out with your group to explore Shillong’s café culture or visit Police Bazaar for shopping and local food.

Enjoy your breakfast, pack your bags and board your transfers to begin your journey towards Guwahati.

Before heading to Guwahati, we will make a short stop at Umiam Lake.

Here, we will spend some leisure time admiring the views and click amazing postcard-perfect photographs.

Then, we will continue our journey to Guwahati airport.

Your amazing Meghalaya group adventure concludes once you are dropped off at the airport for your onward journey.
