Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Dimapur | Transfer to Kohima | Leisure Evening

Arrive at Dimapur Airport on or before 2 pm and meet your Trip captain.

Then, we will board our transfers and begin a scenic drive towards Kohima, the capital city of Nagaland, known for its rich culture and beautiful landscapes.

Upon reaching, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax after the journey.

In the evening, you can step out to explore nearby cafés, try local Naga cuisine, or simply enjoy a peaceful walk around the town.

Day 2
Kohima Sightseeing | Trek Preparation Day

Wake up to a fresh mountain morning and have your breakfast.

Today, we will explore the highlights of Kohima.

Start by visiting the historic Kohima War Cemetery - a WWII memorial marking the site of the 1944 Battle of Kohima.

Next, we will visit the peaceful Kohima Cathedral Church, one of the largest churches in Northeast India.

Later, explore the local markets where you can witness the vibrant culture and lifestyle of Nagaland.

In the evening, we will have a trek briefing session where our team will guide you about the upcoming Dzukou Valley trek, followed by a gear check to ensure you’re well-prepared.

Day 3
Kohima to Dzukou Valley Trek | Into the Valley of Flowers

Wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast.

We will then drive towards Viswema, the starting point of the trek.

Begin your trek to the breathtaking Dzukou Valley, known for its rolling green landscapes and seasonal flowers.

The trek (approx. 5–6 hours) is gradual and rewarding, offering stunning views throughout the journey.

Upon reaching the valley, check into your hut/campsite and relax.

Later, step out to explore the valley, walk through its lush meadows, and witness a mesmerizing sunset.

Have your dinner at the campsite and call it a day,

Overnight stay in Dzukou Valley (hut/camp).

Day 4
Dzukou Sunrise | Trek Down | Return to Kohima

Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over Dzukou Valley - one of the most peaceful experiences of the trip.

After soaking in the views, have your breakfast and begin your trek back to the base (approx. 4–5 hours).

Upon reaching, board your transfers and drive back to Kohima.

Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

You can simply rest in the room or head out to explore cafes, local markets, etc.

Day 5
Excursion to Khonoma Village | Explore Tribal Life

After breakfast, get ready for a short 1 hour drive to Khonoma, India’s first green village.

Upon reaching, we will explore this traditional Angami tribal village, known for its sustainable lifestyle, terrace farming, and rich heritage.

Take a guided village walk, interact with locals, and get a glimpse of authentic Naga culture.

As you explore the village, you will walk through beautifully laid stone pathways, traditional Angami houses, and scenic terrace farms that stretch across the hills.

Learn about the village’s inspiring transition from a hunting-based society to a conservation-driven community.

If time permits, you can also extend your visit to the nearby Dzuleke village for a more offbeat experience.

Surrounded by untouched nature, Dzuleke offers a completely different vibe - calm, raw, and incredibly peaceful.

Here, you can take a slow walk through the village, relax by forest streams, spot birds, or simply soak in the silence of nature.

After a wholesome day of culture and nature, we will drive back to Kohima.

Day 6
Kisama Heritage Village | Cultural Exploration Day

Wake up in the morning and have your breakfast.

Today, we will visit Kisama Heritage Village, the cultural hub of Nagaland and the venue of the famous Hornbill Festival.

Explore traditional Naga morungs (tribal houses), learn about different tribes, and admire the unique architecture and cultural exhibits.

You can spend time clicking pictures and interacting with the people to understand more of their lifestyle.

After the visit, return to Kohima, where you can spend your time café hopping, shopping in local markets, or simply relaxing.

Day 7
Kohima to Dimapur | Departure

Wake up in the morning and have your breakfast.

Pack your bags and board your transfers back to Dimapur Airport (3–4 hours).

Your Nagaland with Dzukou Valley trip comes to an end here.
