Overview & Highlights

  • Some journeys are vibrant. Others are quiet. This one moves between both.

  • Set in the hills of Nagaland, it begins with the energy of the Hornbill Festival—where music, movement, and tradition come alive in their most authentic form. Days unfold at Kisama, among tribal performances, local flavours, and stories passed through generations.

  • And then, just as naturally, the journey shifts. Into Dzükou Valley—where everything slows down. The noise fades, replaced by open landscapes, long trails, and a stillness. It’s a contrast that feels effortless. Celebration and calm, held together in one seamless experience.

    Itinerary

    Day 1

Arrival in Dimapur | Into the Hills of Kohima

Arrive in Dimapur, where the journey begins to slow almost immediately.

A private drive takes you through winding hills and forested stretches towards Kohima - villages appearing and disappearing along the way.

On arrival at your luxurious stay, check in and take a moment to settle into the rhythm of Nagaland.

A visit to the Kohima War Cemetery follows - still, reflective, and deeply moving.

By evening, step out into Naga Bazaar, alive with local life and quiet detail.

    Day 2

    Kisama | The Hornbill Festival

The day opens at Kisama Heritage Village, where Nagaland gathers in one place.

The Hornbill Festival unfolds through music, movement, and stories carried across generations.

Tribal performances, ceremonial rituals, and traditional homes offer a glimpse into a way of life rarely seen this closely.

Pause between it all - local food, rice beer, and moments that feel both vibrant and grounded.

By evening, return to Kohima, the energy of the day lingering quietly.

    Day 3

    Kisama | Festival Rhythms Continue

Return to Kisama, where the festival feels both familiar and ever-changing.

The day moves through tribal dances, live music, and stories expressed through movement and sound.

Wander through stalls of handcrafted textiles and artefacts—each piece carrying a sense of place.

There’s no fixed path here, just moments to pause, observe, and take it in. By evening, return to Kohima, the day settling into memory.

    Day 4

Kisama | The Spirit of the Festival

Another day at Kisama, deeper into the heart of the Hornbill Festival.

Performances unfold across the grounds - each tribe bringing its own rhythm, identity, and presence.

Move between spaces, sample local flavors, and find yourself drawn into the celebration.

Conversations, music, and shared moments make the experience feel closer, more personal.

Return by evening, with the cherished moments from the festival.

    Day 5

Dzükou Valley | Into the Wild

The journey shifts from roads to trails as you leave Kohima behind.

A private transfer brings you to the base, where the trek into Dzükou Valley begins through forests, ridgelines, and open skies.

The trail unfolds gradually, revealing wildflowers, rolling hills, and stretches of untouched landscape. Pause along the way for a quiet meal, surrounded by stillness.

By evening, arrive at your campsite, where the valley opens up, vast and unfiltered.

    Day 6

Dzükou Valley to Kohima | Return to Stillness

Morning in Dzükou arrives softly - mist, silence, and uninterrupted views.

After breakfast, begin the descent, retracing your way through the valley.

At the base, a private vehicle will take you back to Kohima.

The rest of the day is left open - time to rest, explore, or simply sit with the experience.

    Day 7

    Kohima to Dimapur | Departure

A final morning in the hills, unhurried and quiet.

Drive back to Dimapur, the landscape slowly shifting as you descend.

At the airport, the journey comes to a close.

What stays behind isn’t just the festival—it's the rhythm, the people, and the stillness in between.
