7 Days North Sikkim Roadtrip | Lachen, Lachung, Yumthang!

After breakfast, we will get ready for the day.

We will board our transfers to proceed for a full-day excursion around Gangtok.

Start by visiting the glacial Tsomgo Lake also known as Changu Lake, known for its scenic beauty and changing colors.

Further, we drive towards the Baba Mandir, dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh who was a soldier of the Indian Army.

Here, we will listen to the story of Baba Harbhajan Singh, a brave soldier who died in 1968, but believed to still protect the borders.

Next, we will visit Nathula Pass, which is an Indo-China border post (subject to availability, permits and additional cost as applicable).

Upon completing the sightseeing for the day, we will travel back to Gangtok to explore the MG Marg.

Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Wake up to a pleasant morning in Gangtok and have a hearty breakfast at the hotel.

We will then get ready and board our transfers to Lachen which will be approx 6-7 hour drive.

On the way, we will take a short stopover at the Seven Sisters Waterfall and soak in the beautiful surroundings as you click pictures.

Further, we will cross the Chungthang Village which houses the confluence of Lachen and Lachung Rivers.

Take the left road from Chungthang and travel through the Kanchenjunga National Park to reach Lachen.

Upon reaching, check-in to the stay and rest for the day.

Overnight stay in Lachen.

Have your breakfast early in the morning and get ready for the day.

We will then travel further North to visit the Gurudongmar Lake - one of the highest lakes in the country.

En route, you will pass through Thangu Village (13450ft), a remote high-altitude village of Tibetan Nomads.

Spend some time admiring the views of Gurudongmar Lake, named after Guru Padmasambhava.

Later, we will begin our drive to Lachung, while having lunch on the way.

Upon reaching Lachung in the evening, check-in and have some rest.

Post breakfast in the morning, we will start our drive to the north of Lachung.

Our first stop for the day will be Yumthang Valley which is also known as “the valley of flowers” and is known for its scenic beauty.

Spend some time soaking in the vast landscape and admire the view.

After exploring the Valley, you can further visit Zero Point, the last outpost of civilization (optional).

We will then visit the Yumthang hot springs that has natural hot sulfur water pools.

You can take a dip here as the pools are known for their therapeutic properties, set against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks and the Lachung River.

Upon completing the sightseeing for the day, we will head back to our stay in Lachung.

Wake up early in the morning and have your breakfast.

Get ready to start your day early, as we take you to Mt. Katao today.

Board the transfers to drive to Mt. Katao located at an altitude of 14,400ft.

Spend some time on the top admiring the surrounding views of the snow-capped peaks and vast white landscapes.

Click some picture, soak in the views, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and make the most of this incredible high-altitude experience before heading back

Later, we will begin our drive back towards Gangtok

Reach your hotel in Gangtok, check-in and call it a day.

After having your breakfast in the morning, you will board your transfer for Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Station (NJP).

Your thrilling Sikkim group trip concludes once you are dropped off at the airport/ railway station for your onward journey.

Board your train/flight back home with fantastic trip memories.
