Discover fossil trails and giant Buddha views in Langza

If you've been dreaming of remote mountain escapes with homestays, local food, and high-altitude village exploration, this 7-day Spiti backpacking tour from Delhi is calling.

Following the classic Kinnaur route, this Spiti Valley trip from Delhi takes you from green mountains to stark-brown landscapes. Before the dramatic landscapes of Kaza appear, you'll pass through places like Chitkul, Kalpa, and Nako, where wooden homes, mountain markets, riverside walks, and views of the Kinnaur Kailash range are all part of everyday life.

This Spiti Valley backpacking trip becomes even more rewarding as you enter the cold desert. Walk through the prayer halls of the 1,000-year-old Tabo Monastery, stand at Dhankar overlooking the confluence of the Spiti and Pin rivers, and spend evenings in local homestays where stories of winter snowfall and life in these remote valleys often accompany dinner.

Around Kaza, you'll tick off some of the valley's most iconic experiences. Visit Key Monastery perched high above the valley floor, cross the towering Chicham Bridge, send a postcard from Hikkim's famous post office, and reach Komic, where life continues at nearly 15,000 ft. In Langza, many travellers find themselves scanning the slopes for marine fossils before they've even finished photographing the giant Buddha statue.

This 7-day Spiti backpacking trip package offers a deeper introduction to the mountains than a typical Spiti Valley tour.
