If you'd rather spend your money on experiences than expensive stays, this pocket-friendly Spiti Valley backpacking trip from Delhi is the perfect way to explore the cold desert without stretching your budget.

This 7-day trip follows the classic Kinnaur route into Spiti, taking you through riverside villages, apple orchards, ancient monasteries, and some of the Himalayas' most dramatic landscapes. It's also one of the most popular routes into Spiti, thanks to its gradual acclimatization and longer travel season.

Explore Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border, which feels worlds away from city life. Mornings are quieter, the Baspa River is never too far away, and life moves at its own pace.

Further ahead, Spiti begins to reveal the experiences that draw travellers back year after year. Tabo Monastery has preserved Buddhist art and ancient murals for over a thousand years. Dhankar sits dramatically above the confluence of the Spiti and Pin rivers, while Key Monastery continues to be one of the valley's most iconic landmarks, still home to a living community of monks.

One of the most memorable parts of this Spiti Valley tour package from Delhi is the day spent exploring villages above 14,000 ft. Hikkim's famous post office still sends letters across the world, Komic remains one of the highest inhabited villages on the planet, and Langza offers the unusual chance to spot marine fossils scattered across the mountainside.

Offering some of the region's most sought-after experiences, this Spiti Valley backpacking trip from Delhi is ideal for travellers looking for a deeper and more rewarding experience. Book your slot fast.
