Overview & Highlights

Delhi - Shimla - Chitkul - Kalpa - Kaza - Dhankar Monastery - Key Monastery - Hikkim - Komic - Langza - Kalpa - Shimla - Delhi
If you’ve been looking for a way to do Holi differently this year, this is it. This 7-day Spiti Valley & Sangla Holi package is basically a dream sequence for anyone who wants to see the Himalayas at their wildest, wrapped in thick snow and colorful celebrations.
Your Sangla Holi Winter Spiti trip starts with an overnight Volvo ride from Delhi to Shimla, passing through the snow-covered pine forests. From there, we head deep into the mountains, crossing the "Gateway to Kinnaur" to reach Chitkul, the very last inhabited village before the Indo-Tibetan border.
The main highlight is the Sangla Holi Festival, just an hour away from Chitkul. It’s a 4-day Kinnaur Faguli festival, celebrated using organic colors against a backdrop of the Kinnar Kailash peaks, which is a total "pinch-me" moment. Stand in the snow as locals perform the legendary Phagli mask dances and reenact scenes from the Ramayana.
After this soulful experience, we head further into the winter Spiti desert. Over 7 days, you’ll explore the 1,000-year-old Tabo Monastery, walk through the Chicham Bridge (Asia’s highest suspension bridge), and visit the world’s highest post office at Hikkim. Experience the cozy homestays in Kaza, enjoy historic exploration of the fossils of Langza, and witness the stunning views of Key Monastery.
If you’re ready to trade the ordinary for a week of legendary stories in the cold desert, book this Sangla Holi & Winter Spiti trip from Delhi with WanderOn today!
