Balsamand Lake History

At first, the lake was made to give water to nearby villages. But over time, people used it as a leisure spot. The lake is 15 metres deep and covers 1 square kilometre. You can enjoy boat rides on the calm water. A famous designer named Henry Vaughan Lanchester designed the garden.

By Train:

Jodhpur railway station is approximately 7km from the lake. You can get a taxi or auto-rickshaw at the station to reach Balsamand Lake and Garden. 

By Bus: 

There are multiple buses available from big cities in Rajasthan to Jodhpur. Once you’re at the Jodhpur bus stand, get a taxi or auto-rickshaw to the lake.

• Mehrangarh Fort
