Champaran also known as Champaranya formerly known as Champajhar derives from two words Champa meaning Plumeria Forest and Jhar means Home. The plumeria plant forest is now extinct. Chanmparan villager is located in Raipur District, about 60km from the state capital of Raipur via Arang and 30 Km from Mahasamund Via Bamhani, Tila. This temple is decorated with many lights and colors during Baisakhi which is close to the birth date of Mahaprabhuji Vallabhacharya.A small stream passes through both these temples and is believed to have flown down from the holy river of Yamuna.
