Flying from major Vietnamese cities, including Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) or Hanoi, to Con Dao Airport (Co Ong Airport) on Con Dao Island is the most practical method to get to Con Dao Island. From these cities, regular flights to Con Dao Island are offered by Vietnam Airlines and Bamboo Airways. The flight lasts between forty-five and an hour.
By Sea:
Getting to Con Dao Island from the coastal city of Vung Tau by ferry or speedboat is an additional choice. From the Cau Da Port in Vung Tau, ferries and speedboats travel to the Ben Dam Port on Con Dao Island. By water, the trip takes about 12 hours for a ferry and 2.5 to 3 hours for a speedboat.
