This was the favoured place of a beautiful princess who used to have a bath in a lake close to the Mandovi River every day. After the bath, she usually drinks sweetened milk from a golden jug. Once, while having a bath in the lake, she glimpsed a handsome prince staring at her. At that second, she spewed the milk from the Golden jug to create a white virtual curtain in front of her, choking the view through the lake’s crystal-clear water. According to the parable, the milk nonetheless cascades down the mountain slope in the honour of princess’s integrity.

Best Time To Visit Dudhsagar Falls

How To Reach Dudhsagar Waterfalls
From Panaji:
Goa Dudhsagar wateralls is at a distance of 71 km from Panaji. You can either take a bus and alight at Tambdi Surla or book a cab. Once you alight at Tambdi Surla, you can then take a taxi to reach the Dudhsagar Falls. A bus trip will cost you nearly 1000 to 1300 INR per person.
From Goa International Airport:
Goa International Airport is located at a distance of 69.6 km from the Dudhsagar Waterfalls. The most comfortable way to get transferred between these two points is either by taxi or a self-drive. It will just take 1 hour and 50 minutes to reach the destination.
