IRCTC introduces Economy Meals is really good news, which will be helpful, especially for people travelling without any reserved seats on trains from one place to another. Such people often struggle to find cheap and clean food while they are travelling.
IRCTC introduces Economy Meals mainly to improve the onboard services in the Railway Stations. This program will offer cheap dining options to passengers with different tastes according to their needs. The IRCTC’s Economy Meals was launched during the busy summer travel season in order to provide affordable and tasty meals when many people are travelling by train.
Indian Railways by launching the IRCTC Economy Meals wanted to make their passengers happy, especially those who don’t want to spend much while travelling. They’ve started ‘Economy Meals’ at 100 stations and around 150 counters. This makes cheap meals easy to get for passengers all over, and they’re planning to add more soon.
At these counters, passengers have two meal choices: ‘Economy Meals’ for INR 20 and ‘Snack Meals’ for INR 50. These are perfect for a quick snack. They’re placed near the general second-class coaches on platforms, so it’s easy for people in unreserved seats to grab a bite and enjoy their journey a little more than usual.
An IRCTC official talked about the initiative, saying it’s crucial to offer passengers easy and cheap meal options, especially in busy times like summer. They expect more people to travel then, so the ‘Economy Meals’ plan will help them get clean and healthy food without spending too much.
The ‘Economy Meals’ counters are now available at several stations along the South Central Railway route. These include Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Renigunta, Guntakal, Tirupati, Rajahmundry, Vikarabad, Pakala, Dhone, Nandyal, Purna, and Aurangabad. They’re placed there to help passengers travelling through these busy areas.
IRCTC’s ‘Economy Meals’ is a great idea! They’re making good food easier and cheaper to get while travelling, which will make journeys better for everyone.
