If you’re wondering how to reach Rapleng Canyons, there are several ways to get there by air, rail, and road.
  • By Airways: The nearest airport is Shillong Airport, also called Umroi Airport, located about 55 km away from Rapleng Canyons in Meghalaya. From the airport, you can hire a taxi to reach the canyons. Alternatively, Guwahati Airport, around 140 km away, is better connected to major Indian cities.
  • By Railways: The closest railway station is in Guwahati, approximately 120 km away. From Guwahati, you can take a taxi or a shared cab to Shillong and then proceed to Rapleng.
  • By Roadways: The easiest and most scenic way to reach Rapleng is by road. Located just 25 km from Shillong, it’s perfect for day trips from Shillong. The roads leading to Rapleng are smooth, offering breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, and hills along the way.
