Positioned approximately 80 km from Kishtwar and 73 km from Anantnag, it is situated around 130 km south of Srinagar.

Sinthan Top has served as grazing land for cattle for an extensive period. Along the route to Sinthan Top, approximately 40 km from Anantnag, lies another noteworthy destination called Daksum.
