This online application portal, the ESA system, was created in collaboration with IVS Global Institute and GBS Technology Service, which aced the Electronic Travel Authorization. Because of this update, the department claims improvement, efficiency, and a convenient visa process for everyone.

To apply for a visa in Sri Lanka, you need to head to the official website of the Department of Immigration and Emigration to access the visa portal.
Complete the visa application by filling out the application form, filling in your details and government documents, and double-checking before submitting the form.
Once the application is submitted, pay the visa processing fee online. However, the payment methods may vary. Hence, you are advised to check the details on the website.
When the visa is processed, wait for your time. You will get the confirmation by email or online.
