The ArcelorMittal Orbit is a striking sculpture and observation tower in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Standing at 114.5 meters (376 feet), it is the UK’s tallest piece of public art. Designed by artist Anish Kapoor and structural engineer Cecil Balmond, it was completed in 2012 for the London Olympics.

The structure features a looping lattice of red steel and incorporates two observation decks offering panoramic views of the city. Visitors can also experience a thrilling 178-meter (584-foot) tunnel slide, added in 2016, making it the world’s longest and tallest tunnel slide. Named after ArcelorMittal, the steel company that funded much of its construction, the Orbit combines art, engineering, and fun, symbolising London’s creativity and ambition.
