Union Budget 2024-25 impact on travel Industry. Gets a major boost with increased funding.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the Union Budget 2024-25 on Tuesday, bringing good news for India’s travel and tourism sector. The Union Budget 2024-25 impact on Travel Industry is expected to be significant, with several measures aimed at boosting the sector.

The key highlights for the budget 2024 for Travel and Tourism include: 

1. Increased Allocation

A whopping ₹2,450 crores has been set aside for travel and tourism, according to India Infoline. This marks a substantial jump of 44.7% compared to earlier plans.

The impact on travel due to budget 2024-25 is expected to be positive, with this increased investment, the government aims to make India more attractive to both domestic and international travellers.

2. Infrastructure Development 

The Union Budget 2024-25 impact on Travel Industry includes significant improvements in infrastructure. The government is working hard to make it easier for tourists to visit important religious and cultural sites. 

They’re improving roads and transportation. This also includes making air travel affordable under the scheme “ UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik)”.

3. Support For The Aviation Sector

The measures are in place to reduce the cost of aviation turbine fuel (ATF), which has a positive impact of budget on Aviation Sector. This aspect of the Budget 2024 for Travel and Tourism makes air travel cheaper and more available to more people.

4. Simplified Visa Processes

As part of the Union Budget 2024-25 impact on Travel Industry, India is making it easier for foreign tourists to visit. The government plans to make visa rules simpler. This could mean more visitors and more money coming into India’s tourism industry.
