Plans for a huge Disneyland-style theme park in Navi Mumbai have been revealed. The 200-hectare attraction will be a key part of state government and Niti Aayog’s strategy to make Mumbai a global tourist hotspot. This world class Disneyland in Mumbai aims to transform the city’s tourism appeal and attract millions of visitors from India and other countries. The project will feature entertainment zones, resorts, studios, water parks, and event spaces for both fun and business.
The new theme park Mumbai will cost about $6-7 billion, with most money coming from private companies. To attract investors, the government is offering benefits like rent subsidies, longer leases, and more building space. They're also planning tax cuts and capital subsidies for major tourism projects.
Experts say the Disneyland inspired park Navi Mumbai will create thousands of jobs in hospitality, entertainment, and infrastructure. By 2030, Mumbai's tourism income is expected to grow four times larger, with the theme park playing a key role. The increase in tourists will also help local businesses like hotels, restaurants, and shops.
According to official plans, CIDCO will finish the master planning and land allocation by 2025-26. The government will then invite private investors and start the bidding process in 2026-27. The Navi Mumbai Disneyland opening date is set to 2030.
The park will feature exciting rides, digital experiences, and modern animation studios. By connecting with Mumbai's film industry, the park aims to create a special entertainment experience that highlights Bollywood culture.
The theme park's location in Navi Mumbai is ideal because of good transportation links, including the new Navi Mumbai International Airport. As demand grows for high-quality entertainment facilities, experts believe this park will compete with famous international theme parks and help put Maharashtra on the world tourism map, attracting families and thrill-seekers alike.
