FASTag Annual Pass: Over 5 Lakh Sign-Ups in Just 4 Days

The newly launched FASTag Annual Pass has seen a tremendous response, with over 5 lakh users signing up within just four days of its launch on Independence Day. The FASTag Annual Pass is designed for non-commercial vehicle owners, offering unlimited toll usage for one year or up to 200 toll plaza crossings for a fixed fee of Rs 3,000.

The FASTag Annual Pass price of Rs 3,000 covers all tolls on national highways and expressways, making it a convenient option for frequent highway commuters. This one-time payment eliminates the need for regular recharges and reduces waiting times at toll plazas. According to official reports, about 1.4 lakh users activated the FASTag Annual Pass on the very first day. By the fourth day, total sign-ups crossed the 5 lakh mark, showing the growing popularity of electronic toll collection.

Tamil Nadu emerged as the top state in terms of purchases, followed by Karnataka and Haryana. These states, along with Andhra Pradesh, led in the number of FASTag Annual Pass transactions, marking the success of the initial rollout.

How to Activate the FASTag Annual Pass?

Activating the FASTag Annual Pass is simple and can be done through the Rajmarg Yatra app or the official NHAI website. Here are the FASTag Annual Pass Activation Steps:

1. Download the Rajmarg Yatra App or Visit the NHAI Website

Make sure you have the latest version of the app for smooth activation.

2. Log in and Verify Eligibility

Use your mobile number or vehicle registration number (VRN) to log in. Ensure your FASTag is active and linked to the correct VRN. Only private/non-commercial vehicles are eligible.

3. Fill in Vehicle and FASTag Details

Provide necessary details like vehicle information, FASTag ID, and upload required documents such as the RC, owner’s ID, and photograph.

4. Make Payment

Pay the Rs 3,000 annual pass fee using UPI, debit/credit card, or net banking. Wallet balances cannot be used for this payment.

5. Activation Confirmation

Once payment is processed and details verified, the FASTag Annual Pass will be activated within two hours, although it may take up to 24 hours. An SMS confirmation will be sent to confirm activation.
