The whole temple is constructed of pink color sandstone having pavilions with intricately engraved pillars and painted ceilings and walls. The artwork on the ceilings and walls of the temples in the main depict stories from Hinduism and Indian mythology.

The Galtaji Temple is filled with devotees in the month of January on the occasion of the Makar Sankranti fest to take a dip in the holy waters of the kund.
