IRCTC Website And App Down: Train Booking Services Hampered

Train booking services on the IRCTC app not working since Thursday morning. Many people took to social media to report they couldn’t book their train tickets. IRCTC website and App down leaving passengers frustrated. The website showed an error message about “maintenance activity” when people tried to use it. While many users reported problems on Downdetector (a website that monitors online services), IRCTC hasn’t yet explained what caused the issue.

IRCTC Passengers Furious Over Booking Issues

Reports of IRCTC down on Thursday have been widespread across the country. Train passengers were furious about the IRCTC website and App Outage during peak Tatkal ticket hours. One frustrated user complained to railway officials on Twitter, claiming this is a regular problem at 10 AM. They suggested it might be a scam since when the site came back online, only expensive premium tickets were available while regular Tatkal tickets were sold out.

“It is 10:11 am… still IRCTC is not opening…. IRCTC should be enquired and checked… definitely scams are happening. By the time it opens all the tickets are gone…”.

“India reached the moon, but the Indian Railways ticket booking app can’t handle Tatkal booking without crashing. It’s 2024, and a stable server shouldn’t be rocket science!” another passenger commented.

This marks another recent technical failure for the railway booking platform, though IRCTC has yet to address the cause.
