IMD Rainfall Alert: Heavy Rainfall In Various Parts Of India!

There has been heavy rainfall predicted in many parts of India because of which IMD has issued an Alert for heavy rainfall. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) says there will be lots of rain and thunderstorms in many parts of the country during the first week of June 2024. Plan your travels accordingly.

The IMD predicts thunderstorms and some rain, along with lightning and breezy weather in Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, West Bengal, and Sikkim until June 10.

It has been reported by IMD about the Rainfall Forecast in parts of India, from June 3 to June 5. Assam and Meghalaya are expected to have a lot of rain, heavy rain can be noticed on June 6 and 7. In the regions in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, the IMD Rainfall Alert has been announced from June 3 to June 6.

Arunachal Pradesh might have heavy rain on June 3 and 4. Also, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura may get heavy rain on June 5 and 6. Hence, the IMD Rainfall Alert is announced in these parts.

Until June 8 Rainfall forecast in Parts of India has announced that there will be lots of rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and breezy weather in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. 

Tamil Nadu will have heavy rain on June 5, Karnataka until June 6, and Andhra Pradesh on June 6. Kerala, Telangana, and Karnataka could have heavy rain until June 7. 

Over the next five days, there might be light rain with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Uttar Pradesh will likely have light rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and breezy weather until June 5, while Punjab and Haryana will experience similar conditions until June 6. 

Rajasthan which is known as the ‘Land of Kings’ which is mostly covered with desserts is expected with very light rain, thunderstorms, and lightning, for the next four days, announced by IMD Rainfall Alert.

It was also advised that the people and the officials who have been affected in the flooded areas due to heavy rainfall should be alert on the latest Rainfall forecast in parts of India and should take the needed precautions.
