First time ever in history, there was snowfall in Saudi Arabian Desert.  Saudi Arabia’s Al-Jawf region turned into an unexpected winter scene as snow fell across the area. This rare event came along with heavy rains and hail. White snow against Saudi Arabia’s sandy landscape has left many amazed, as this region normally sees mostly sunshine and high temperatures.

Historic Saudi Arabian Desert Snowfall Brings New Look

The Saudi Press Agency reports that the unusual weather has created a stunning scene, with flowing waterfalls in the valleys. This Saudi Arabian desert snowfall just before Al-Jawf’s famous spring season transforms the area, but this time with colourful wildflowers. The region is well-known for its beautiful spring displays of lavender, chrysanthemums, and sweet-smelling plants that paint the landscape in vibrant colours.

The unusual Saudi Arabian desert snowfall has brought new life to the typically dry region, creating a beautiful contrast to its usual desert appearance.

Weather Alert: More Storms Coming To Saudi Arabia

The Saudi weather office has sent out a warning that the wild weather isn’t over yet! Al-Jawf residents should be prepared for:

  • Heavy thunderstorms
  • More rain and hail
  • Strong winds
  • Poor visibility on roads

Officials are urging everyone to stay alert and be careful as these severe weather conditions continue.

Unusual Storms Across Gulf Region

It’s not just Saudi Arabia; now the UAE is also getting hit by strange weather! The UAE’s  National Centre of Meteorology(NCM) has warned residents about:

  • Incoming rainstorms
  • Thunder and lightning
  • Possible hail

Weather experts say these storms are coming from a low-pressure system moving from the Arabian Sea through Oman and into the UAE. This unusual weather pattern is affecting the whole region, marking a significant change from the typical desert climate.

In Ladakh, find the perfect blend of culture, adventure, and serenity. December last year I decided that my next trip would be Ladakh but didn’t know how to go about it. I knew I wanted to travel in a group, as I had prior experiences of traveling in a group but wanted an organiser I could trust. Ladakh isn’t like other destinations wherein you need some instructions due to the high altitudes.

The place was very beautiful and the quality of service was top-notch, the itinerary was very good and the quality of transportation and stays were very good. Had an awesome time there and made some good friends as well. Lastly, our trip captains Priyasha and Rachit managed the entire trip very well and were so fun and made our trip an experience worth remembering.
