From Spiti

  • It is a short hike from Kunzum Pass to reach Chandratal Lake.
  • Starting Point: Kunzum Pass
  • Chandratal Lake trek distance: 1-1.5 Kilometers
  • Time Needed: Around 40 Minutes
  • Reach Kunzum Pass by road from Manali to Chandratal Lake.
  • Acclimatize - spend some time adjusting.
  • Start trekking downhill and along the valley towards Chandratal.
  • You can also camp overnight at Chandratal.

From Manali To Chandratal Lake

You can combine the Hampta Pass trek with a visit to Chandratal Lake in a single trip, but you’ll need around 6–7 days to cover the entire route comfortably.

DAY 1: Manali to Jobra (Drive), trek for 2 kilometers to Chika campsite, then an easy walk.

DAY 2: Chika to Balu ka Ghera - Trek for 8 Kilometers along the river.
