Many roads including the Rohtang Pass, stay closed due to snow, but the Atal Tunnel now keeps the valley connected to Manali. • There is no need to obtain a permit to go to Lahaul via Atal Tunnel. However, there has been a restriction on the number of vehicles going to Rohtang pass.
  • Only BSNL and Airtel connections function at this location, and you should expect full cutoff in remote areas and select regions. However, WIFI connections are available at certain hotels.
  • Some roads, especially Rohtang Pass, close in winter. The Atal Tunnel now keeps the valley accessible most of the year, but always check weather and road updates before you go.
  • ATMs are limited and may not work reliably. Bring enough cash for food, fuel, and accommodation.
  • Lahaul has a rich Buddhist and tribal culture. Dress modestly, ask before photographing people, and be polite when visiting monasteries.
  • Mobile signals are patchy, especially in remote villages. Inform someone about your travel plans in advance.
  • Medical facilities are basic. Carry any prescription medicines, a first aid kit, sunscreen, and lip balm.

"WanderOn Review: A Spiti Valley Adventure I’ve been dreaming about a trip to Spiti Valley for the past 3-4 years but never found the right time. This year, that dream came true with my cousins. Initially, there were just three of us, but somehow, we ended up being a lively group of eight! From the moment we left Delhi to the moment we returned, munching on those heavenly Moolchand parathas, the vibe was unbeatable. A massive shoutout to our trip captains, Shresth and Shubham who ensured all 24 of us were comfortable, healthy, and having a blast. These captains were our very own "desi boys," flawlessly managing everything with their impeccable leadership and punctuality. Shresth and Shubham were more than just trip captains; they were the heart and soul of the journey and truly went above and beyond. They had an amazing ability to bring people together and create a sense of camaraderie among us travellers. Their energy was contagious, and they always knew how to lift our spirits, whether it was through their witty jokes, engaging stories, or simply being there to lend a helping hand. They made sure we had the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, and they were always ready with a solution to any problem that arose. The memories I made with my fellow travellers are unforgettable. We became true friends, and honestly, I never wanted this trip to end. We covered almost every picturesque spot in Spiti Valley, and the beauty of the place was simply breathtaking. I even had a special request for a photo I'd seen in a magazine. Imagine my surprise when I woke up, looked out from my guest house balcony, and saw the exact same scene. Manifestation at its finest! We laughed, danced, sang our hearts out, and had our fair share of Kalesh (with cousins, of course). It was all part of the fun. Saying our final goodbyes was tough, and there were definitely some tears. It felt like a real-life Bollywood moment, Kuch logo ke sath sirf waqt bitane se hi sab kuch sahi ho jata hai. Special thanks to Shresth It never felt like I was meeting him for the first time. Always had the perfect balance of fun and responsibility. His witty comebacks, eye rolls (especially during our cousinly chaos), and heartfelt conversations made the trip even more memorable. He’s genuinely one of the most humble people I’ve ever met :P In the end, this trip wasn't just about the stunning places we visited; it was about the amazing people we met along the way. Thank you, WanderOn, for an unforgettable adventure! Can’t wait to do the next one. Ps note: WanderON, if you require the content on the cousins for fun or to convince the cousin’s group to join in the fun, please feel free to reach out :P"

"We took spiti road trip and this was my first community trip and it has exceeded my expectations. It was a wholesome experience starting from food, stays, travel, group interaction, games, sharing history of every place we visited to fulfilling littlest of our needs. Our captains Arka, Tushar, Prashant ensured best of our health, all travel facilities, and were huge fun from the very beginning. Arka ensured everyone had their best pictures shot, Prashant had knowledge of all the history of places we visited and shared stories, Tushar ensured we all had best memories and fun. One thing that i loved most about travelling with wanderOn is how kind, respectful and caring they are for everyone around them and the efforts they put to make our trip a memorable one. We all had lifetime experience. I am surely gonna travel with wanderOn for my next trip. I would highly recommend wanderOn for a well planned, hassle-free and memorable travel experience."

The beautiful scenery, which included both tranquil valleys and untamed mountains, was simply amazing. Since every rider in the group had a passion for discovery and adventure among the group added a unique touch. Captains Amit and Anubhav led our voyage with skill, familiarity with the area and superb leadership made sure that everyone felt comfortable and supported the entire time. The excitement turned every difficult situation we encountered on the trip into an exciting journey.
