• Poor-quality scans: Cropped passport pages, glare across the MRZ line, or a photo against a patterned background.
• Unofficial websites: Look-alike portals file with errors you never see, sometimes under the wrong visa category. Apply only on evisa.gov.ge.

Georgia eVisa for Indians: Step-by-Step Guide

How to Apply for Georgia Visa

1. Create an account on the official Georgia eVisa portal at evisa.gov.ge.
2. Fill out the application form with your passport and travel details.
3. Upload the required documents, including the 30,000 GEL insurance policy (see checklist below).
4. Pay the consular fee of USD 20 plus a 2 percent service charge.
5. Complete DuVerify identity verification within 24 hours of payment. The USD 15 DuVerify fee is charged at this stage.
6. Wait for processing. The Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs quotes a minimum of five working days, and applications routinely take seven or more during Indian holiday peaks around May–June, Diwali and Christmas–New Year. Apply at least three weeks before departure, and four to six weeks out if you are travelling in a peak window, so a document correction does not push you past your flight date.
7. Receive the approved eVisa by email as a PDF. Print one copy and keep a digital copy on your phone for passport control.
