Tbilisi is where every Georgia trip begins, and it is usually the city travelers wish they had given an extra day. Our Tbilisi tour packages from India are built around the old town's carved wooden balconies, the sulphur bath district, and the hillside views from Narikala Fortress. Kazbegi and Kakheti are added as day trips from the capital.
Georgia has become one of the easier international trips for Indian travelers. Entry rules are straightforward, ground costs sit well below Western Europe, and Tbilisi itself is compact enough to cover on foot. It is a city of steep lanes, cafés in old courtyards, and long dinners that run well past the booked time.
Every departure below lands in Tbilisi and uses it as the base for the rest of the trip. If you are still deciding between regions, our Georgia tour packagesguide covers the whole country, from the Caucasus to the Black Sea coast.
Best-Selling Georgia Group Tour Packages
Each of these itineraries starts and anchors in Tbilisi, making it easier to cover Georgia’s key highlights without complicated transfers. Our Georgia tour packages in winter run on fixed departure dates and include a WanderOn trip captain, making them a good fit for solo travellers, couples, or anyone who prefers to travel with a group.
Customized itineraries, on the other hand, are planned around your preferred travel dates, group size, pace, and interests. They use the same trusted on-ground network but operate without a trip captain, giving you more flexibility over stays, sightseeing, and daily schedules.
Our fixed departures currently start at INR 55,999 per person and rise to INR 74,999 for the New Year departure, which falls in peak season. The price covers accommodation, transfers, planned sightseeing, and on-ground support. A realistic Georgia trip cost is far lower than a comparable week in Western Europe, which is the main reason the destination has grown so quickly with Indian travelers.
Flights from India
Flights are booked separately, which lets you choose the routing and fare that suit your city. Most itineraries connect through Dubai, Sharjah, Doha, or Istanbul, and fares move sharply with departure city and booking window. Book early for December and New Year dates.
Daily spending in Tbilisi
As of October 2026, Tbilisi remains relatively affordable compared with cities like Prague or Vienna. A khinkali dinner for two with local wine typically costs around GEL 60–120 (₹2,230–₹4,460). A metro or bus ride costs about GEL 1 (₹37), while a short taxi ride is usually GEL 4–10 (₹150–₹370). A private sulphur bathroom generally starts from around GEL 130 (₹4,830) per hour, with scrubs and other treatments charged separately.
E-Visa for Indian Passport Holders
Most Indian travelers apply for a Georgia eVisa online through the official portal, evisa.gov.ge, before they fly. The government fee is USD 20 plus a 2% service charge, and applicants also complete a mandatory identity verification through DuVerify, which costs USD 15.
In total, that comes to roughly USD 35 per traveler, or around ₹3,000 at current exchange rates. The portal states that a decision takes at least five working days, so we suggest applying two to three weeks before departure to leave room for document corrections and public holidays. An approved eVisa is valid for 120 days and allows a stay of up to 30 days with multiple entries. (as of October 2026).

What Your Tbilisi Trip Covers?
Places to Visit in Tbilisi in 2026
The best places to visit in Tbilisi are located within a few kilometres of each other, allowing most of the city to be explored on foot, while the cable car and funicular handle the climbing.
Old Town and Narikala Fortress: A First Afternoon On Foot: Start in the old town, where wooden balconies lean over lanes that haven't been straightened in centuries.
Taking The Rike Park Cable Car Up To Narikala: The cable car from Rike Park reaches Narikala Fortress in a few minutes. Go in the late afternoon, when the light settles on the Kura River and the domes below.
Walking Down Through The Botanical Garden To The Baths: The route down is easy and much quieter than the way up, and it brings you out near the baths.
Abanotubani Sulphur Baths: Private Rooms and How Booking Works: The domed bathhouses at the foot of the hill are the signature of the city. Most visitors book a private room by the hour, which is more comfortable than a shared pool, and popular slots fill quickly at weekends.
Mtatsminda Funicular: The Best View Of The City On Your First Evening: The funicular climbs to Mtatsminda Park, where the whole city lies open below you. It shows how Tbilisi is laid out before you walk through it, which makes it a good first-evening stop.
Georgian Food and Wine: What to Eat and Drink in Tbilisi
How to Eat Khinkali the Georgian Way: Khinkali are pleated dumplings eaten by hand. Hold one by the knot at the top, bite from the side to drink the broth first, and leave the knot on your plate.
What Happens At A Qvevri Wine Tasting: Qvevri wine is made in clay vessels buried underground, and it tastes quite different from steel-tank wine. We plan a tasting into our itineraries, and the wider evening scene is covered in our Georgia nightlifeguide.
Tbilisi For Couples: Adapting the Itinerary for a Honeymoon: A Tbilisi honeymoon package uses the same itinerary, with a private bathhouse room and a quieter dinner replacing the group meal on one evening. Tell us when you inquire, and we will plan around it.
Tbilisi, Kazbegi, and Kakheti: The Georgia Circuit
Every departure builds in two day trips from the capital. Together they show you what Georgia offers beyond the city, and a Tbilisi Kazbegi tour package is the most popular way to add the mountains.
Kazbegi day trip along the Military Highway: The drive takes roughly three hours each way, so an early start matters.
Ananuri Fortress: The first stop is a fortress on the Zhinvali reservoir, with towers, a church, and a wall running down to the water.
Jvari Pass viewpoint: The road crests at nearly 2,400 meters, and the viewpoint at the top shows the Caucasus in both directions.
Stepantsminda and Gergeti Trinity Church: The road ends below Mount Kazbek, with Gergeti Trinity Church on the ridge above the town. It is the view most travelers remember from the whole trip.
Kakheti wine country and Sighnaghi: Kakheti lies about two hours east of Tbilisi. A day here usually includes a wine cellar visit, a relaxed Georgian lunch, and, if time allows, a stop at the walled town of Sighnaghi. Compared with Georgia’s mountain days, Kakheti offers a slower pace with more time for food, wine, and easy sightseeing.
Best Time to Visit Tbilisi
May to June and September to October: The Sweet Spots
The best time to visit Tbilisi is late spring and early autumn. Days are warm without being heavy, evenings suit outdoor dining, and the Kakheti vineyards are at their best during the autumn harvest.
July and August: Plan Around the Heat
The city regularly pushes into the mid-30s in midsummer. Keep sightseeing for mornings and evenings, and use the afternoon for the baths or a long lunch.
Winter: Quiet City, Snowy Mountains
Tbilisi is cold but uncrowded in winter, while Kazbegi and Gudauri turn into proper snow destinations. For skiing, have a look at our Gudauri tour packages.

Feroz, Shiva and Chirag were very meticulous and helpful. They really help set the vibe of the whole trip in Georgia. The organization was well done and the tour guide Tami was very sweet as well. I would recommend going to Georgia's Christmas wonderland and spending the new year with Wanderon.
