Essential items include a heavy down jacket, cozy woolen sweaters, thermal innerwear, a warm beanie or woolen cap, gloves, and a good pair of woolen socks. Layering is key to staying comfortable while exploring the beautiful cold landscapes of Spiti! 

2. Backpack: You should have a lightweight but waterproof backpack that will fit in with all your necessities and should be easy to carry through your whole journey. 

3. Food: You should carry a stock of water, a portable water purifier, dry snacks or some emergency food supplies. 

4. Medical Kit: You should have a first-aid kit, personal prescription medicines, bandages, painkillers, medicines for vomiting, fever, or any kind of allergy. Take Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, Acetazolamide, Loperamide, and Cetirizine with you for safety purposes. 

5. Trekking gear: Sleeping tents, torchlights, trekking equipment, matchsticks, lighters, cooking equipment, multi-tools and knives, also navigation devices to take you through the remote areas. 

6. Electronics: cameras, portable chargers or power banks, travel adaptor, extra batteries, and memory cards. 

7. Travel documents and permits: You should not miss out on this! Make sure you carry the necessary travel documents, personal identity documents, and required permits for some of the restricted areas of Spiti Valley. 

8. Petrol: You must take care of your petrol on the bikes. Make sure you fill it up there and keep extra gasoline or fuel in the car. Also, you get it from the local shops by paying an extra fee.
